About Me

I qualified at the University of Cape Town in psychology as a mature student in 1996. This followed other work situations, including English at school and university and work in advertising and journalism. I have an MA in English Literature and I’ve been involved in creative writing and the arts all my life.  I’m deeply interested in creativity and its development through the exploration and release of the self.  I see creative playfulness as intrinsic to psychotherapy, and I’ve done training in Improvisational theatre which contributes.  My own work in therapy and my own life processes have given me insight into many human life experiences. This helps enormously in being able to work with very different clients.  I draw on a lifetime of experience with various ways of working, depending on what is needed at any specific moment with a particular individual.

I would like to work with you if this way of working appeals to you.  Usually I begin with 1 – 3 sessions to do an assessment and for us to find out whether there is a fit between us.  Begin with a phone call…
